Buying a brand new car is exciting. You spend hours poring over brochures and lists of options; you finally decide what you want and you sign the purchase order. At last, the time comes to pick up your vehicle from the dealer's premises.

Everything is perfect. It smells brand new. It's got almost ZERO kilometres on the clock. There's not a single scratch or chip in the paintwork. You walk around it for one last check before you drive away.
Then you stop; something's not quite right. Suddenly you realize what it is...click here. There's worse to come though. The mounting points in the boot lid didn't line up with the holes in your rear number plate, so your dealer has drilled a couple of extra holes in the boot to MAKE it fit.
All of a sudden, the thrill of owning a BRAND new car is beginning to fade.
You need to catch your dealer BEFORE they drill those extra holes through your boot lid and bumpers.
In fairness, car dealers have few options in mounting number plates on their vehicles. If they are unaware of the availability of LAKIN Custom Plate Brackets, their only choices, depending on the model, are to:
- hang the plates from two holes at the top of the plate
- drill holes through the middle of the plate to match the holes in the car body
- drill extra holes in the car body to match the holes in the plates
None of these choices is ideal. Dealers will be pleased to have the option of installing your plates with our brackets; it saves them time and finishes their product off to perfection.
