Great cars....Pity about the plates!

We went to the Melbourne Motor Show in February 2008. While we went mainly to look at the new cars on offer, we were especially interested in some of the fabulous vehicles displayed in the foyer. These were to be auctioned by Shannons and had some large suggested prices on them - many in the realm of hundreds of thousands of $$$'s.

In spite of the overall brilliant standard of presentation, we were disappointed to see some quite poorly attached number plates. It seems almost none of us has come up with a simple, neat way of displaying our plates (until now of course!) Even VERY expensive personal number plates are simply screwed to the bodywork with self-tapping screws.

Here are some of the vehicles we photographed at the Motor Show. They illustrate how an otherwise well presented vehicle can be let down by shoddy number plate attachment.

The photos in the next group show the plates on two Audis, to illustrate the disappointing standard of plate attachment on a relatively expensive new vehicle.
